Vanda Limbata Flava Lapel Pin
This lapel pin is inspired by the flava form of Vanda limbata, a striking orchid species first described by Carl Ludwig Blume in 1849. Native to the tropical islands of Sulawesi and Java, Vanda limbata grows as a vigorous epiphyte in hot, sunlit climates, producing upright sprays of long-lasting, fragrant flowers throughout summer. Its blooms are admired for their distinctive cinnamon-like fragrance that lingers in the air.
Crafted in brass and finished with 18k gold plating, the design captures the sculptural elegance of the orchid’s form. The softly contoured petals reflect the luminous flava colouration, translating botanical detail into a refined jewel. The polished gold surface enhances depth and light, evoking the way sunlight moves across orchid petals in their natural habitat.
This piece serves as a subtle yet distinctive statement. It is a wearable homage to a historic orchid species, celebrating botanical heritage and meticulous craftsmanship through timeless design.

Packaging & Certificate of Authenticity
Each jewellery piece is presented in a signature box designed to protect and preserve its finish, while offering a refined unboxing experience suitable for gifting. The packaging is intentionally minimal, allowing the piece itself to remain the focus, and is crafted for both presentation and long-term storage.
Every creation is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, confirming the orchid variety that inspired the design. This certificate reflects our commitment to transparency, craftsmanship, and botanical integrity, and serves as a lasting record of your piece.
Together, the packaging and certificate form part of the experience, ensuring each piece is received with the care, provenance, and permanence it was designed to embody.

Taking Care of Your Jewellery
To keep your jewellery looking its best, handle each piece with care. All jewellery is made from 925 sterling silver, with some pieces finished in gold or rhodium plating. Avoid contact with water, perfumes, lotions, and chemicals, as these may affect the metal and plated surfaces. Plated jewellery may naturally wear over time, especially with frequent use.
Remove jewellery before bathing, swimming, exercising, or sleeping. When not in use, store your piece in a dry place, preferably in its velvet pouch or jewellery box. Sterling silver may naturally tarnish over time and can be gently polished with a soft cloth. With proper care, your jewellery will remain a lasting expression of craftsmanship and botanical inspiration.
