Bulbophyllum phalaenopsis is named not for floral similarities, but for the similarity in the leaves of the plant. This is a large sized, epiphytic species from New Guinea that is found at elevations below 500 meters and blooms on a basal, short, fasciculate inflorescence with the fetid smelling flowers clustered against the pseudobulb. A hot growing species that needs deep shade, good air circulation and high humidity to grow well.
For sale the plant is pretty mature size with the longest leaf is 29 cm with new growth as well. This size of plant usually not available all the time.
